Improve Battery Life for Solar Powered Cars

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Solar powered cars will get here eventually. In the 1990’s, emissions laws were being enforced throughout the United States. Many colleges and universities began looking at the possibility of solar powered cars. The finding were that the solar collectors for the cars to run were too large to be put into the vehicles. Development continues on the solar collections to make it possible. For those skeptical, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t all come together in the near future. There are many organizations throughout the world working on doing just that.

You know as well as I do that all the batteries you ever buy are going to fail and have to be replaced, even if it’s a ssolar powered car. Replacement batteries are big business and you can save a little money sometimes but for the most part batteries are expensive. So would you be interested in some tips, tricks and techniques to improve battery life and save money.

Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

At this point in time, vehicles have pretty much become a necessity. The reality is it’s difficult to live without some sort of car, truck, minivan, SUV or motorcycle. Especially in the United States, you plain and simply need a motor vehicle to get around. After all, our states are so grand and spaced out, no one expects you to actually walk everywhere all the time. This would take days, and you would never make it to work on time. That 45-minute commute in your vehicle would suddenly turn into hours on foot. Fortunately nowadays there are plenty of vehicles to choose from. There are even hybrid electric vehicles out there that can save you on gas money and help you go green.

My Favorite Car Dealership in Delaware is Gambacorta

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I am a firm believer in the fact that in every town, there is a John Gambacorta, and a Mario Gambacorta.

There is that one car dealer that you can trust, and you buy from for your lifetime.

In Dover Delaware, where I am from, there was the legendary Vernon Ingram (man in need of statue) who would personally drive high quality used cars to senior citizens homes and take them on a test drive to show them the car.

No pressure, it was how Vernon worked. When my mother couldn’t drive anymore I called Vernon, and he came personally, picked up my mother’s car that we had bought from him, and sold it for us on consignment.
The world will be a lesser place when Vernon goes, a model for all great men.

FIND THAT LEVEL of service and you stay with it. The Gambacortas are that, and have been for generations.
With Mario Gambacorta TESLA Motors has found a linkage to generations of quality in Boulder Colorado.

The men who are fourth and now fifth generation car dealers, who literally LOSE SLEEP if you have any issues with your car.

I have always bought cars from John, and if you are a Delawarean, you know the name Gambacorta as synonymous with care and quality. John is expanding his business online, finding excellent cars that are of the highest quality you can find.

If you need a quality car, backed by generations of family integrity, you will do no better than the Gambacortas.

Find a VW Bus For Sale to Convert to Bio-Diesel

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I was attending a Greens Show the other day and came upon the coolest exhibit. A young man had taken an old vw van and converted it to run on chicken grease. After explaining what was going on with his van and the conversion process, I was most interested.

There’s a kit to install and then locating a place to obtain the grease, like restaurants and such.

The next thing I did was start looking around for a VW Bus For Sale. I found some good ones on eBay which I’m getting ready to bid on one that is not far away from where I live. Looks like I will have my work cut out for me for awhile but this will be good learning experience.

If you want to find more about the conversion process for vw diesel vans there are several places online and local people also. Check Craigslist also in your area.

The Importance of Rising Gas Prices

Friday, January 29th, 2010

The rising price of fuel has become a daily problem we all face. Driving is such a vital part of our lives that we are forced to pay these high prices, no matter what. Thus it is imperative that we understand how to improve our gas mileage, just to manage our budgets.

There are ways to improve gas mileage, but we have to be careful that we don’t fall victim to the many hoaxes that become prevalent in a situation like this. We want to cut our gas expenses, so it’s easy to believe almost anything that claims to do that.

Some say that if we add hydrogen to our gas it would definitely improve our mileage by accelerating the combustion process and providing more power. There are several products that claim to do this, but I really doubt if they do any good. Some claim that this will increase your mileage by up to 30%, but if this was indeed possible you would already know about it because no one could keep that secret.

affordable golf cart parts in San Diego

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Looking for a Golf Cart or Golf Cart Parts?

In the end you have a lot of choices for new carts. In the event you already have a cart and are in the market for golf cart parts in San Diego or north of it (just about anywhere in or around California), Golf Cart Parts for Less is the place to go.

Due to the extensive variety of vehicles available and the myriad applications, we strongly suggest a thorough review of the models that each company manufacturers and how they might fulfill your need. Also, prospective buyers should carefully consider the intended applications taking into account the weight of the cargo to be carried, the terrain and brakes required, the climate and any overlapping tasks for which the vehicle is intended to provide solutions. Talk with your local dealers or representatives of the companies of interest and negotiate a price, warranty and service contract.

Many companies market vehicles they make through various internal channels as well as branding them with other companies’ logos. The E-Z-GO utility trucks are also branded as Cushman Commander, Jacobsen Hauler and as the Brouwer & Steiner models of utility trucks. All are part of the Golf, Turf & Specialty Products segment of Textron, Inc. The Cushman Bellhop is from the E-Z-GO Shuttle series of personnel carriers.

They all use similar platforms for different vehicle configurations and market them through a spectrum of channels. Although the golf car carries only 800lbs, the power plant & frame can be beefed up to accommodate more weight and the rear body can be a cargo bed instead. The rear chassis can be lengthened to accept an even longer cargo bed. Obviously these are not the same vehicles but they are similar & they do share a lot of component parts. The mid-chassis can be stretched (& reinforced) to provide room for 4 passengers to face forward.

Club Car, for example, makes the Bob Cat side x side 4 wheel drive truck and they also brand their line of light & medium duty XRT trucks as Husqvarna. Careful examination of the spec sheets reveals the different brands are not identical though. Similarly, Yamaha golf car division makes the Motor Sports ProHauler line of light duty gas & electric utility trucks. The ProHauler looks different on the outside but it has the same components; it has a different ‘skin’ than the utility trucks offered by the golf car dealers.

Newly Wrapped Smart Cars

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

The YOR Health wrapped smart cars are a great marketing initiative and can also work to incentivize distributors towards increased performance. The vehicles function as both an effective mode of transportation and as mobile billboards, serving two distinct purposes with precision and style. Also, certain regions and distribution networks may be offering the YOR Health wrapped smart cars (or a portion of the payments for the vehicles) as bonuses for exceptional performance, which could serve to encourage increased dedication and effort.

Many smart cars are designed to embrace the eco-friendly cultural movement that is sweeping through the world as issues like global warming are confronted. To this end, smart cars are designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the environment. This is not much different from the purpose of YOR Health’s products: to improve the health and wellbeing of the individual. The main difference here is that YOR Health’s corporate model provides the opportunity to share the potential health benefits with family and friends, whereas the smart cars are too small to provide much opportunity for sharing! However, all humans share the environment – so, in this regard, there are commonalities as well.

YOR Health is built upon holistic values – the organization is focused on providing a higher standard of living by empowering individuals with knowledge concerning nutrition as well offering leading-edge, high quality health care products. The organization approaches personal improvement from a “bigger picture” perspective. This makes the smart car a great selection for the company’s official vehicle from a conceptual and philosophical perspective.

The introduction of the first two YOR Health smart cars has gone largely unannounced in the community at large, but individuals enjoying the roads in the greater Los Angeles or Orange County areas will be surprised to see these wrapped YOR Health vehicles traveling alongside of them. Only two such vehicles have been rolled out thus far, but there are many more to come.

Smart cars encompass lines of microcars and superminis. The development of the vehicles was fueled by the desire to create a car that was easy to park; the normal smart car is as long as most parking spaces are wide, which enables two or three such vehicles to park in a single normal-sized parking space. So – in a sense – smart cars are very efficiently designed. In this way, they are similar to all of YOR Health’s various products.

Run Your Car On Water

Friday, June 26th, 2009

There is hardly anyone who isn’t searching out ways to reduce their fuel costs and a revolutionary new system that utilizeds water is making this dream come true for many people. Sounds preposterous, but this is actually a car that runs on water as well as fuel. Any car can be converted to save gas by using water, prolong your engine’s life, and cut down on harmful emissions.

Here’s how a water powered car works.

Although you still need to fill up your car with gas, it won’t be as frequently. An electrolytic device is installed under your hood that uses an electric current to seperate water into oxygen and hydrogen. This apparatus then feeds these gases into the engine and creates an effective mixture that increases gas mileage by up to 70%. For more info read better fuel economy with water.

Jeep Grand Cherokee – Beast of the past?

Monday, March 16th, 2009

What are you driving these days? Are you zipping around town in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, or are you cruising with the family in a Hybrid Car? In all honesty, I think they’re both great vehicles, it simply depends on what you’re looking for. Okay stop, who am I kidding?

The jeep grand cherokee on the other hand is rather popular this day and age. So many individuals, whether they’re single or toting around a family of six, really go for the SUVs. I’m not saying that this is a bad choice, but it does seem a tad odd considering the foul gas prices. Some sources say they could end up as high as five bucks a gallon.

That’s ridiculous! It’s high time to destroy the countries that produce the fuel and steal all their resources. Uh, okay so that’s not such the peaceful idea. However, I’ll bet we could accomplish it if we wanted. Anyway, back to the subject of popular vehicles. SUVs are taking over the United States. It’s clear to me that the cell phones continue to get smaller, while the SUVs get bigger. Go figure!

Have you ever had the pleasure of driving a jeep grand cherokee? I can honestly say that I have. It’s easy to say that this is the epitome of sport utility vehicles. It’s neither at the highest price range, nor is it at the lowest. In fact, it’s just right for many single individuals and families alike. The only problem remains. Gas prices are not plummeting to say the very least.

Are you in the market for an SUV? If so, then you may want to check into the jeep grand cherokee. Along with the Infinity and the Mercedes M class, I would say these are amongst the best available now days. However, be sure to head this common sense warning regarding fuel costs. They’re not likely dropping folks. So before you run out and snag that fully loaded grand cherokee, plan out a budget in order to see if you can afford the gasoline.

Hydrogen Fuel Cars – Save Money, Conserve Energy

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

What are hydrogen fuel car kits? If you’re familiar with hydrogen technology, then you probably know about cars that make use of hydrogen fuel. If the price of gas becomes unreasonable, more and more people will want to use alternative fuel. The reason why gas prices are always increasing is because oil reserves are depleting. Besides, if people can find a cleaner alternative fuel, why use gas at all? Gas contributes to pollution and one way to reduce pollution is by using hydrogen fuel.

To find out more about this great alternative fuel, check out Water To Gas Save !!!

Alternative Fuels for Automobiles

Thinking of Buying A New or Second-Hand Car?

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

The price of cars is falling fast and there are great deals to be had on second-hand cars. Some dealers are even selling second-hand cars below cost as they try to reduce their bank borrowings. There has never been a better time than the present to buy a new car because the supply far exceeds demand.
This is mainly due to that notorious credit crunch where potential car buyers just cannot get credit from the finance companies. Although the price of petrol has fallen, and interest rates are well down, the vast population is still not in a buying mood.

Now might be a good time to research the alternative type of cars we are likely to see in the future. Maybe it’s time to start thinking about moving away from our dependence on petrol as the price of oil is as volatile as the product itself. A new audio book entitled Zoom has recently been released and is well worth listening to.
audio books zoom

The ZOOM audio book takes readers inside the global race to build the car of the future, as pioneers in Japan, India, China, and the USA tackle the challenge of creating automobiles that will run on cleaner energy sources. As the authors succinctly write: “Oil is the problem. Cars are the solution.” We are living in the midst of a Great Awakening in which environmentalists, entrepreneurs, and political leaders are forming new alliances to end our addiction to oil and create new technologies. The days of Big Oil and Big Auto are numbered, according to the authors, who show how we are in the midst of a major transformation from carbon-based energy sources to new fuels and technologies.

ZOOM traces the history of the linked industries of oil and automobiles, the “industry of industries,” and how the two have shaped domestic capitalism and the international landscape, creating both progress and peril. They explain how Toyota vanquished American competitors to become the world’s largest automobile manufacturer and, more importantly, a leader in hybrid cars using electric power. They take us into the boardrooms of oil executives and show how some are boldly exploring new energy sources while others deny the dangers posed by oil and risk extinction. We meet the Thomas Edison of the 21st century, a legendary inventor whose revolutionary work is already having a positive impact on the environment and the economy.

Running your car on hydrogen gas, or other alternative fuels, may seem like a good idea. Hey, depending on your angst with recent gas prices, it may seem like a great idea! However, you must think of more than just converting your car to run on hydrogen gas. After all, how will you generate hydrogen gas? That’s where hydrogen gas generator kits come in, actually. Hydrogen gas generator kits use real, actual science to generate hydrogen gas so that you can get around to all the places you need to get to. This way, you can avoid costly trips to the gas station!

Hybrid Cars And The Energy Crisis

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

Hybrid cars can help, but maybe not enough people are driving them. Here are a few issues related to the energy crisis and how hybrid cars can help. Hybrid cars don’t make Americans use an excess amount of fossil fuel. Instead, hybrid cars cause Americans to use less fossil fuel. Energy consumers just swallow increasing gas prices Hybrid cars end up costing people less to own than conventional cars do. During the peak oil crisis, there will be oil shortages and natural gas shortages. The peak oil crisis can be put off if more people just purchase hybrid cars. Hybrid cars don’t make it so that people always have to look for oil. The majority of popular hybrid cars come from Japan. Read in French: energies nouvelles and locations de voitures

Bio-Diesel, and Waste Oil as an Alternative Fuel

Friday, March 14th, 2008

So I made some BioDiesel.  That worked fine, but it involved buying lye and methanol, and in the end it cost some money to make.

Then I started looking at running Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO).  In my pre-Powerstroke Ford, it’s a simple matter of filtering it down to 10 microns and making sure the oil is at least 180 degrees when it hits the injectors. Not too tough, but does take some effort.

The Diesel Secret Energy. Hype or Genuine Money Saver?

Monday, March 10th, 2008

You’ve probably heard a lot about this mysterious formula called The Diesel Secret Energy.

Certainly, there’s a lot of advertising about it all over the net.

But what the hell is it? If you go and take a look at the official site you’ll see all sorts of wild claims. They imply that it’s better and cheaper than biodiesel as well as being easier to use.

It sure looks like an enticing prospect but is this just more snake oil? Take a look at this review of Diesel Secret Energy and make up your own mind…

Fuel Efficient VW Jetta Diesels

Monday, February 18th, 2008

The Volkswagen Jetta has won acclaim from both the automobile media and consumers for it’s innovative styling, outstanding German engineering and performance. It’s newer models have also been recognized for their safety innovations and ability to score high marks in crash testing. Now one type of VW Jetta has proven to be a highly prized model. The TDI Jetta Diesel.

Monday, January 28th, 2008

I was tasked with taking our new e85 vehicle on a week long test drive to see if E85, E10 or regular gasoline worked best for mileage and performance. I picked up my Wisconsin vacation guide and hit the road. As long as I needed a long distance drive I just as well enjoy myself along the way. I found the E85 mixture to have the worst fuel mileage but there didn’t seem to be a loss of performance. The lesser cost of the fuel actually made the dollars per mile a bit cheaper, but with the different prices at different stations it was hard to figure. The E10 also had slightly less gas mileage and there was absolutely no loss of power. In fact my car seemed to have slightly more power with that fuel as far as low end torque goes. Over in Iowa they have a reduced tax on that fuel and it may sell for as much as ten cents a gallon cheaper there. That makes the dollars per mile the lowest of any of the alternatives. Finally the regular no lead did give the best miles per gallon and the performance was almost as good.
