GM Putting a Cap on Gas

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

It looks like GM is finding a clever way to unload inventory of its gas guzzlers.  GM is providing subsidies for the cost of gas for select vehicles by capping the prize of gas for one year at 1.99/gallon in the states of California and Florida.  Thomas Friedman recently called out the goverment and major US car companies to push for more fuel efficient cars, rather than offering subsidies.  I’d agree but ……

Multi-Purpose Auto Accessories

Monday, May 29th, 2006

We are spending more and more time in our vehicles and our cars are becoming like a second home for many of us who spend a lot of hours on the road traveling the countryside. The latest auto accessories meet the various needs of the driving population by bringing some of the home into the vehicle.

Part of this involves bringing entertainment into the car. Auto accessories are not limited to decals and nifty vanity plates anymore. We are moving the comforts of home into our cars. Cutting edge electronics like DVD players are making themselves at home in minivans across the county.

Car Shows That Feature Antique Autos

Monday, May 29th, 2006

If there is no museum of antique autos in your area—of if you are unwilling to travel that far—there are many areas that have annual car shows. Collectors of antique autos get together with other collectors to show off there prized possessions: their antique, or highly completely restored, cars.

Often, the public can get in for a fee, but if the show is in a small town it may even be free. Sometimes there are cars for sale, or a raffle or drawing you can enter to win a car. If you do not already know whether or not your area has a showing of antique autos, then you could call your chamber of commerce. Towns and cities of different sizes have car shows.

The Understated BMW Floor Mats – A part of the car

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

The BMW 3 series cars are quite often the fist choice for many new BMW owners.  I actually started my love affair with these fine motors by purchasing a BMW M3, and it’s still my pride and joy to this day, and I make no exaggerations with that claim. From the classy BMW hood ornament to the understated BMW floor mats, it’s a machine that pleases me to the core. Ok, so the cars and accessories are not the cheapest around but you really do get what you pay for with BMW.  Even the rims for BMW cars can put many folks into cardiac arrest when they see the price tag, but you soon learn that everything you buy from this company really is unequaled in pure quality and that includes BMW floor mats.

Advanced Aircraft Designs

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

For one thing, aircraft design today is more useful in creating stealth aircrafts. By combining the principles of friction (or the lack of it) today’s aircraft designs are able to strike a balance between aerodynamics and radar invisibility. While the aircraft designs continue to get better and better by the day, they are also becoming more and more difficult to track, upping the ante on all sides of a warfare.

Friday, May 12th, 2006

From 1973 to 2006, there have been fifty-six (56) Honda Civic recalls.
In one case, for example, Honda Civic recalls were so vital that they were made based on two deaths due to a faulty defibrillator.  In 1973, the two recalls for suspension and for the hazards flashing warning light switch.  In 1974, the seatbelts and the suspension made for recalls, and in 1975, the latter problem in addition to the engine cooling exhaust system (the manifold, header, muffler, and tail pipe) were cause for the Honda Civic recalls for the 75 Civics.
