Buying a VW Ragtop?
February 25th, 2010There’s very few things as cool as finding an old Volkswagen to restore. Especially if you get a good price. Some people like to just buy already restored while others love the restoration process and the joy of driving their new jewel.
Sometimes old vw’s can be so rusted that it comes down to making a decision on restoring or just parting the car out on websites like eBay. I guess it depends on how much time and money you want to put into the project.
Some vw’s are more scarce than others. Take the VW Beetle convertible. These can be a real score. I hear it’s because of the how many were manufactured and also if the owners left the tops down too many times, the insides got soaked and over the years this caused problems.
Regardless of what type of VW for sale you’re looking for. There’s nothing like reliving the past in a nicely restored Bug or Karmann Ghia.
